Red Maple Cabin is a secluded, peaceful, mountain home, surrounded by woods with the sound of a nearby mountain stream located on the side of Walnut Mountain just minutes from Ellijay. Snuggle in front of the living room fireplace (seasonal), or enjoy the front porch rocking chairs. More rocking chairs grace the expansive back deck with gas BBQ grill, deep woods view, and a serene, quiet, mountain setting. In the evening you can watch the stars while relaxing in the Hot Tub, cozy up to the outdoor fire pit, wrap yourself in a blanket, and swap stories. Upon arrival to the wood cabin you are greeted by the front deck with several inviting rocking chairs. Be sure to look for deer. Inside are soaring ceilings, wood walls and wood floors for that true cabin experience. There are 3 decks in all, one in front, and two in back with great views of the deep woods and several rocking chairs. The upper/loft main bedroom has its own private deck. The main level features the living room with a high vaulted ceiling, a cozy (seasonal) fireplace, two queen bedrooms, a full bath, and kitchen. Off the kitchen is the back deck running the entire the length of the cabin with a plumbed gas grill and perfect views of the deep mountain woods. Listen for the running water from the nearby stream. The upper/loft main bedroom features a king size bed, private full bathroom, reading nook, and double doors opening to the private screened deck. Downstairs (basement) is a large game room with a smart TV, sitting area, a regulation size cornhole set, game table, and more. Outdoors, the back yard features a Hot Tub plus a wood-burning fire pit for enjoying great conversations on a chilly night. Even blankets are supplied. A picnic table under the trees is ready for your enjoyment. Each bedroom has smart ROKU TVs with blazing fast internet for accessing your favorite streaming apps just like you were at home. Smart TVs are also located in the living room and game room. Adjacent to the living room is the kitchen stocked with cookware, dishes, glasses, a Hamilton Beach Flex Brew coffee maker for brewing by the pot or individual k-cups, blender, toaster, mixer, pots/pans, dishwasher, and more. Just bring your own groceries to make delicious meals on the gas cooktop and oven. The kitchen is open to the living room so that you can see the TV and talk to the other guests. The table sits six. One thing we love is that it’s quiet here, the stars are amazing, and the wildlife visits from the squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and deer are entertaining. Walnut Mountain offers four lakes and hiking trails. For the more adventurous, Amicalola Falls is only 30-minute drive away and offers great hiking, picnicking, and the falls. Hikers might want to visit the Chattahoochee National Forest on Springer Mountain where the Appalachian Trail begins. Around the Ellijay - Blue Ridge area you’ll discover white water rafting, tubing, zip lines, golf courses, beautiful mountain drives, apple orchards, antique shopping, and many local wineries and vineyards. You are only 5 miles away from the lovely, quaint walkable downtown Ellijay. Stroll around the square and visit the Downtown Welcome Center, several antique shops, the Amish Furniture Store (Beds Etc.), coffee shops, restaurants, Cartecay Wine & Craft, Boardwalk Pizza & Sub, Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza, River Street Tavern, and so much more. Minutes away is the Rich Mountain Wildlife Management Area offering: Archery, Biking, Canoeing, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Hunting, River Fishing, and Wildlife Viewing. PRICING: Pricing per night is for 2 guests. Each additional guest is $19 additional per night. Pet fee. Lake access to Lake Dakwa (one of 4 lakes) is by walking up the mountain to the next right turn and following the walkway down to the lake and hiking trail. All guests have access to the Walnut Mountain community amenities. These include an outdoor community swimming pool (CLOSED FOR REST OF 2025), play ground, tennis courts, basketball court, and a picnic area. Bring your canoe, kayak, and/or fishing poles to take advantage of the 4 private lakes in the community that are home to bass, catfish, and brim. There is a trout fishing stream at the entrance to Walnut Mountain near the picnic area. You will also find several hiking trails on Walnut Mountain. (Check local laws regarding fishing licenses.) **Thank you in advance for your understanding and compliance with the rules** GUESTS MAKING RESERVATION AND ANY VISITORS AT PROPERTY MUST BE AT LEAST 24 YEARS OLD OR OLDER, except for those who are in the presence of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s.) By submitting your reservation you are confirming that you are 24 years of age or older and that all of the registered guests are either at least 24 years of age or any who are under 24 are with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s.) POOL PASS. One Pool Pass can be found in the House Manual. Missing pool passes will incur a $50.00 replacement charge. The pool is seasonal (not open all year.) The most important rule is to read all the rules. Not reading these rules is breaking the rules. 1. Smoking/Vaping. NO smoking or vaping inside the cabin. Smoking is allowed ONLY outside in designated areas. Use butt receptacles. Pick up all butts. 2. Occupancy, Visitors, Parking. The maximum number of overnight registered occupants is 6 (six). The maximum number of vehicles is 4 (four) with NO street parking. Maximum number of daytime registered guests plus visitors must not exceed a total of 8 people at the cabin at any given time. People other than those in the guest party set forth in the your reservation may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property and their actions are the sole responsibility of the registered guest. Visitors must abide by these rules. Visitors may not bring pets. 3. PET RESTRICTIONS: One dog (at least 1 year old) is allowed per the initial Pet Fee of $69. A second dog (at least one year old) can be allowed with an additional $35 fee billed after your accepted reservation. You must notify us upon your accepted reservation that you are bringing a second dog. Keep pet OFF the furniture and beds. A crate is provided for when you are out of the cabin. Never leave your pet loose in the house when you are away. IF YOU OR A GUEST BRING A NON-APPROVED PET YOU ARE SUBJECT TO IMMEDIATE EVICTION AND FORFEIT OF ALL RENTS! Pets in the Walnut Mountain common areas must be kept on a leash. Any damage done by the dog(s) shall be the financial responsibility of the guest, as well as any extra cleaning charge. All pet waste must be picked up and properly disposed. (Contact host for any exceptions you want to request to this policy.) 4. Quiet Hours. Quiet Hours are Sunday - Thursday: 9:00pm - 7:30am; Friday and Saturday 11:00pm - 7:30 am No house parties. No loud music. Violations are subject to a fine. 5. Furnishings. Keep the property and furnishings in good order. Do not rearrange or abuse the furniture or fixtures. Furnishings are subject to change without notice. 6. Fireplace. The fireplace may NOT be used from May - September. The fireplace may not be tampered with and the gas logs may not be touched or rearranged. Nothing may be burned in the fireplace. No other open flames are allowed in the cabin including candles, lighters, incense. 7. Cable TV/Internet. Internet and TV services are provided as a courtesy. Service outages for any kind will not be cause for refunds or discounts to your stay. 8. Gate Passes / Pool Pass. Two Gate Passes are provided to Guest(s) for entering Walnut Mountain during your stay. Passes must be left in their proper place upon checkout. Missing gate passes will incur a $99.00 replacement charge. One Pool Pass is provided. Missing pool passes will incur a $50.00 replacement charge. 9. Fire-Pit. Firewood is not provided for the exterior fire-pit but is available locally at the grocery store and many other places. NEVER LEAVE A FIRE UNATTENDED. Only wood may be burned in the fire-pit. Never burn any trash. The daily Fire Condition Status as indicated on the sign across from the Walnut Mountain Welcome Station must be Moderate or Lower to avoid fines. COVER MUST BE KEPT OVER THE FIRE AT ALL TIMES TO PREVENT SPARKS ESCAPING. Extinguish fire after use. 10. Alcoholic Beverages/drug use. No drinking alcoholic beverages by anyone under the legal limit. Should a guest(s) or visitors of guest(s) be arrested for underage drinking at the rental property or should the owner observe underage drinking, this rental agreement may be terminated and the guest evicted at the option of the owner and all rent will be forfeited. Illegal drug use is strictly prohibited. Kegs are NOT permitted on the property. 11. Hot Tub. No children under the age of 18 may use the hot tub without adult supervision. Use of the hot tub carries with it certain health risks. Temperature should not be set over 100 degrees for children. Use at your own risk. DO NOT STAND OR SIT ON THE HOT TUB COVER! If you damage the hot tub or the cover you will be charged for the replacement. When not in use keep the hot tub covered. 12. Linen. A basic supply of linen is provided. Bed linen and towels are not changed during your stay. 13. Weather. If there is inclement weather, no refunds will be given unless the highways and roads are declared impassable by state or local authorities. We do not refund due to other lesser road conditions (including snow and ice). Mountain roads are subject to snow and ice during the winter. 14. Cleaning requirements. Guest(s) are required to leave the property in the same general condition it was upon arrival. Dishes should be washed and put away. Beds do not need to be made. Guest(s) are responsible for any damage, abuse, excessive cleanup requirements. 15. Right of Entry. Guest(s) agree that Owner and their Agent(s) reserve the right to enter the property anytime to investigate disturbances, check occupancy, check for damage, and make repairs, alterations, or improvements as determined by owner. 16. REPAIRS ~ SERVICE CALLS~ REFUNDS - Owner(s) cannot guarantee against mechanical failure of heating, air conditioning, Hot Tubs, TVs, or other appliances. Please report any inoperative equipment to us immediately. Owner(s) will make every reasonable effort to have repairs done quickly and efficiently. Should a repairperson make a call to a unit and find that the equipment is in working order and the problem was due to the Guest(s) oversight or neglect, the charge for service will be the Guest(s) responsibility. No refunds or rent reductions will be made due to failure of appliances or equipment. All maintenance requests must be reported to the owner(s) between 9 AM and 4 PM. Emergency Repairs re: HEAT, AIR OR LIGHTS, CALL US 24/7. ALL OTHER REPAIRS SUCH AS HOT TUB, FIREPLACES REPORT TO US DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS). For Security, we have one security camera that records video and audio when it detects movement in the driveway and on the front porch. Guests must not tamper with the camera. Tampering with the camera will be grounds for immediate eviction and forfeiture of all rent paid. 19. Expedited Eviction. Guest Access

You will have exclusive use of the entire Cabin. The place is yours during your stay. Walnut Mountain is a private gated community. Skyview Dr. is located on the right at Gate 2. Initially, you will need to stop at the Welcome Station (on the left) across the street from Gate 2, where a gate attendant will buzz you in. Once at the property, there will be a gate pass for you to use during your stay to enter and exit at will. There is level parking for 4 vehicles at the property. The Community is gated and guests will be asked to provide Vehicle information regarding Make, Model, and Tag number(s).

Great cabin! Nicely furnished, feels like someone's vacation home rather than an Airbnb. Not an IKEA couch in sight! Everything is perfectly labeled and clear. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment. House is quite big too! Dan's messages were crystal clear and proactive. Our only complaint was the 10 am checkout which coincided with a long clean up / check out list which made for a stressful last morning.

We had such a great time! The cabin was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed! We enjoyed the hot tub and how peaceful it was with the surroundings! It was a perfect place to bring our pup too!! Dan was very responsive and made sure we had the perfect guide to our stay! We had such a good time and plan to come back!!
